The default OS Commerce displayes New Products on the front, index.php I needed something customizable.
The contribution, also known as yourfrontpage onlys consists of two PHP files and a README.TXT file. Only three changes to existing files are necessary.
It will work fine in multiple-language envireonments and requires no additional database tables. It is nothing complex.
