This modification changes the osCommerce code to implement a product object element and adds a significant amout of documentation, making future modifications much easier. I plan to use this as a stepping stone to create a "product package" class, which will allow customers to create packages with several (or, in my case, a specific number of) products. It is a modification of osCommerce 2.2 ms 2.
The included "readme" file explains minor code changes that need to be made. Each php file has a line included in the top comments detailing it's location within the osCommerce directory, and the new_tables text file holds a list of all mysql queries to execute.
Please note: only use this with a fresh installation of osCommerce as it will override any modifications you have made to files interacting with the shopping cart.
