InquiryTool 0.8 Description

You have the possibility to either explore the tool on your own or to make a guided experiment to get an idea in what context the tool is used

The purpose of this guided experiment is to show the capabilities of the activity tool within our theoretical framework.

We believe that a way to learn how to grow plants is to do plant growth experimentation.

In order to encourage students in dynamic and interrelated thinking that is necessary for computer controlled plant growth, we provide a framework that focuses on collaboration and reflection.

We assume that these components used in a cycle of making predictions and comparing them to actual experiment results, helps to become aware of the core problems of computer controlled plant growth experimentation.

The Inquiry Tool is a Web-Based Collaborative Mindtool, designed to build Scientific Inquiry journals, with text notes, data graphs, and hand drawn predictions and trendlines. Journal's are described with XML, the system uses FLASH, MySQL, PHP, and Perl.
